ABOUT COOPER & ELLA
Kara Mendelsohn launched Cooper & Ella, a blouse company, in September 2012. The names are those of her children and they are near and dear to her heart. After working in the fashion industry for 17 years for Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Thakoon she began consulting. Having always been in sales and merchandising she spent much of her career traveling and in the best department stores and specialty stores around the US and Europe.
Listening to the customer she found there was an opportunity to create a brand that spoke to women who wanted affordable yet chic options for their everyday life. She focused on blouses because this is what she wears everyday and buys most often. The first collection is romantic, chic and modern in design and quality but affordable at just $68-$88. The beauty is in the details, fabrics and prints as well as a perfected and flattering fit.
